The MountOne & Astrographs were developed with Bambu Lab PLA-CF. Final testing and checks were performed with Bambu Lab PETG-CF. Parts were printed using E3D's A1 Series High Flow ObXidian 0.4mm Nozzle. The PET uses a 0.6mm Nozzle. I recommend PETG-CF for the MountOne and Astrographs.

If you hope to develop MountOne yourself, or would like to help support my further development of the MountOne, detailed drawings, datasheets, STEP files and more are available by downloading the MountOne CAD Packs & ordering MountOne Hardware Kits.

Each STL file is named with an x1, x2 ,x3 etc at the end to indicate the number of printed parts required.

You'll need approximately two 1kg spools of material. I have printed some parts in red PETG-CF.

Specific printing recommendations for each part is provided below. Some parts will be grouped together.

M1-PET-BASE-EQ-CLAMPx1.stl

This clamp maintains the PET equatorial position. One can, if one wishes to, up the perimeters / walls to 3 for additional strength.

M1-PET-BASE-EQ-KNOB-PLUGx1.stl

M1-PET-BASE-EQ-KNOBx1.stl

I am painting fuzzy skin on the highlighted face to provide some grip.

The seam is set to random.

M1-PET-BASE-EQx1.stl

M1-PET-BASE-WEDGEx1.stl

Another part that should have 3 perimeters / walls. I'd also increase the infill to 20% or more.

The seam literally wants to go straight down the front as shown.

M1-PET-BASEx1.stl

M1-PET-LEG-FRONTx1.stl

For people with larger machines, there are STLs for longer legs. You'll need a machine with a build height of 250mm. The standard legs work perfectly fine.

M1-PET-LEG-LEFTx1.stl

M1-PET-LEG-RIGHTx1.stl

M1-PET-TRIPOD-BASE-LEVELLING-ADJUSTERx3.stl

Painting the highlighted face with fuzzy skin.

Random seam.

M1-PET-TRIPOD-BASE-LEVELLINGx1.stl

M1-PET-TRIPOD-SIDEx2.stl

This part is actually printed with a 0.4mm Nozzle.
