The MountOne & Astrographs were developed with Bambu Lab PLA-CF. Final testing and checks were performed with Bambu Lab PETG-CF. Parts were printed using E3D's A1 Series High Flow ObXidian 0.4mm Nozzle. I recommend PETG-CF for the MountOne and Astrographs.
If you hope to develop MountOne yourself, or would like to help support my further development of the MountOne, detailed drawings, datasheets, STEP files and more are available by downloading the MountOne CAD Packs & ordering MountOne Hardware Kits.
Each STL file is named with an x1, x2 ,x3 etc at the end to indicate the number of printed parts required. For the DSLR Astrograph, only one print of each part is required.
You'll need.
- ~0.4kg of PETG-CF Black.
Specific printing recommendations for each part is provided below.
M1-DSLRx1.stl
I have placed the seams (purple lines) inside the body.
M1-DSLR-COVERx1.stl
The cover needs to be printed upright as shown.
Seams are on the inward facing faces. Additional seams are required for the air vents.
A 5mm brim is applied to keep the part stable during printing. I have also reduced the speed down to 50mm/s for the last 20mm.
M1-DSLR-DOVETAIL-50x1.stl
I have increased the perimeters to 5, and increased bottom and top layers to 6.
