General Print Settings.

  • 100mm/s Print Speed.
  • 0.5-1.0mm Z-Hop.
  • Seam Position Aligned.
  • Precise Z Height.
  • Avoid Crossing Walls.
  • Dynamic Flow Control Enabled.

The MountOne & Astrographs were developed with Bambu Lab PLA-CF. Final testing and checks were performed with Bambu Lab PETG-CF. Parts were printed using E3D's A1 Series High Flow ObXidian 0.4mm Nozzle. I recommend PETG-CF for the MountOne and Astrographs.

Each STL file is named with an x1, x2 ,x3 etc at the end to indicate the number of printed parts required. For the 102OTA Astrograph, only one print of each part is required.

Specific printing recommendations for each part is provided below.

M1-102-BRACKETx1.stl

I advise printing  this part with a 0.6mm nozzle, for additional strength. Also, bump the walls / perimeters up to three.

This should be the least visible place for the seam.

M1-102-COVER-LEFTx1.stl

There are a few seams to paint here. Ensure all are facing inwards.

I am using the slider to paint the overhang. I suggest setting support to Tree (manual).

M1-102-COVER-RIGHTx1.stl

No support required.

Similar approach for the seams.

M1-102-FOCUS-CAPx1.stl

I have used Random seam alignment.

M1-BEARING-SPACER-PULLEYSx12.stl

These parts are from the MountOne, you'll need just two.

M1-102-DEW-SHIELDx1.stl

The Baffled Dew Shield, named after myself, is an optional extra.

M1-SV165-30-RPIHQCx1.stl

This is a cover for the Raspberry Pi HQ Camera. It is technically not required, but it adds to the aesthetic.

I have set the seam to Random.

You'll also need support on the underside.

An optional Baffled Dew Shield for the SV165.

The seam is set to Random.

Another optional extra, a Bahtinov Mask.
