MountOne | An Update.

MountOne | An Update.

The MountOne GOTO Mount.

The MountOne itself is finished. The documentation is also completed. All that is left is exporting the CAD and putting together the STL Sets, CAD Packs and Hardware Kits.

The Printed Equatorial Tripod.

This is a new addition that you may not have seen before. Built into the PET is a level, adjustable feet, and 0-60 degree equatorial tilt function for polar alignment. I have also been toying with integrating batteries into the legs, but this may have to wait until after release.

The Four Astrographs.

The DSLR, PineFeat Lens Controller and 100MM astrographs are all completed. There just remains the 102OTA to finish.

The Documentation.

I have been working on the documentation. This involves building the MountOne and one of each of the astrographs while photographing the process as I assemble each one. There is also a how-to for the software stack for the MountOne, and each astrograph. And a small section on using the system for the first time.

This is still very much a work in progress. However, if you'd like an early preview click the link below. Note that the documentation is still a work-in-progress and some links may not work and whole sections may be missing.

MountOne Documentation Preview

Release Date.

I'm hoping for early 2026. I'll have ~20 hardware kits available. There will be both free and paid-for versions available to download from here and multiple locations on the internet.

Sample Image.

The image above was captured with the PineFeat Lens Controller Astrograph and the Canon 75-300mm EF III lens. It is a single frame, captured on the 19th of November, it is unedited, but it has been rotated 180 degrees. It is of the Pleiades.

We have a YouTube Channel which features video clips and project highlights.
